I ahve no idea why your Google search turned up so few results, but for your infomration, I did migrate my blog from Wordpress to Typepad, and it worked fine. And you may be right, I don't think Typepad is targeting Wordpress users. As I have come to understand, Typepad and Wordpress users are two very different animals and cover different market segments.
